Last December WBC Welterweight Champion Floyd Mayweather and then fiancé Shantel Jackson split up, as he was allegedly cheating on her. Then last week he posted a photo on Instagram of her sonogram from last year, alleging the true reason for the breakup: she had an abortion and told him instead that she miscarried. After blasting their personal drama for all the world to see, Jackson dished out a vicious reply to her ex. Maybe since he was jailed in 2010 for battery, she made the right choice?
The internet was abuzz last week when gossip site TMZ broke the story of Mayweather's Instagram post. Now Miss Jackson is fighting back (via News Fix Now):
"After people attacked Mayweather over the inappropriate post regarding the abortion, he removed the posts. Gotta love screen grab. Meanwhile, Jackson has decided to fight back with an Instagram post saying, 'Well...with that type of behavior I guess you just gave up on owning that NBA team huh? LOL #childish #growup @NBA'. Rumor has it Mayweather wants to purchase the Clippers."
News Fix Now also had some ammunition of their own, invoking Mayweather's 2010 jail stint for battering his girlfriend:
"To me this is the ultimate low blow. Keep the fighting in the ring. Oh but that's right you also like to hit women too. He spent 90 days in jail in 2012 for domestic violence charges. Whether or not she had an abortion, we don't know. But what I do know is men who beat women, and degrade them on social media, are a lousy excuse for a man and make poor fathers. How ya like that jab Mayweather?!"
What do you think? Is Shantel better off without Mayweather? Should he be posting private medical information about his ex? Is that even legal?
