Mega Millions Lottery Winning Numbers Update: Check New Tuesday May 6 Amount Before Buying Tickets

No one won this weekend’s Mega Millions lottery drawing meaning that new totals have shot up close to the $100 mark. Check the new preview below to see just how high the totals really are before you buy your tickets.

The new Mega Millions lottery ticket total has reached $92 million, with an estimated cash value of $52.

The Mega Millions website is reporting on one of the recent big wins, writing:

“SACRAMENTO – After only a week and a half of waiting Los Angeles’ newest millionaire has finally come forward.

“Leopoldo Choi verified his winning ticket at the California Lottery’s Van Nuys district office today after he matched all six numbers in the Mega Millions April 4th drawing. Choi takes home a cool $30 million! While Choi has decided to remain low key on what he plans to do with his winnings, we can tell you that the winning ticket was a Quick Pick® and Choi has decided to take the cash option of $16.6 million.

“Choi isn’t the only winner. The Century City 76 station in Los Angeles that sold the ticket picks up a bonus of $150,000, or one half of one percent.

“Mega Millions is played in California (and 42 other states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. PST. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers. Please visit the California Lottery’s Mega Millions site for more information on how to play.

“The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. More than 95 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER. “
