World renowned baller Kobe Bryant is finally in the news about something other than his bad behavior. The veteran hoopster is signing up to be the subject of a documentary set to air on Showtime this fall. After allegations of cheating, wife Vanessa filing for divorce in 2011 and subsequent reconciliation last year, coupled with a new soccer shoe to promote, how will Kobe find time to play in another 6 basketball games next year?
Kobe is one of those rare talents, possessed of a high degree of skill, killer instinct, and a winning mentality. He is also extremely unlikeable. After a long feud with teammate Shaquille O'Neal (who has had his own troubles recently), allegations of sexual assault, infidelity, on-the-court dramatics and a generally entitled arrogance not unlike Eric La Salle's character in Coming to America, Bryant is certainly a worthy subject for a documentary.
So fan site Lakers Nation is reporting that the aging star will be doing just that, arriving on premium cable channel Showtime this fall:
"Kobe Bryant only appeared in six games this past season, but that didn't keep him from staying in the spotlight. From his new Kobe IX shoes to his endorsement of the sports drink BodyArmor, Bryant found a way to stay center stage in the eyes of the media.
As fans, we are all in awe of Bryant's amazing basketball skill. From his acrobatic fade-aways to his jaw-breaking dunks, the five-time champion never lets us down. Bryant's work ethic has been praised throughout his career, but as spectators, we have never been able to truly see it first hand."

What do you think? Do you want to see a doc about Kobe? Do you think his wife Vanessa should have taken him back?
