Tonight there is an all new episode of Nathan Fillion's Castle, leading up to next week's season finale wedding. The Firefly star recently revealed that he had a role in Guardians of the Galaxy. However, it’s return as the (not so heroic) Captain Hammer in Dr. Horrible 2 that many fans are waiting for.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Veritas,” reads:
“Beckett jeopardizes her life and Castle's when she conducts a secret investigation linked to her mother's homicide.”
This all leads up to next week’s big season finale event wedding episode. The official plot synopsis for next week’s all new episode, aptly titled “For Better or Worse,” reads:
“In the sixth-season finale, Castle and Beckett prepare for their wedding. However, an unwelcome surprise may ruin things, so they embark on a zany adventure, encountering masked men and mad bikers along the way.”
Recently, Nathan Fillion opened up about landing a role in his old pal James Gunn’s new movie, Guardian’s of the Galaxy. However, the real question on everyone’s mind is if Fillion will reprise his role as Captain Hammer in Dr. Horrible 2.
Recently, Zack Whedon confirmed that the song’s for the show complete telling MTV News about = the delay:
"I think that all of us overestimated our multitasking abilities. It’s not on the front burner, unfortunately. What is on the front burner is Joss’ second Avengers film and Jed and Maurissa’s work on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D....There was a time maybe about a year ago I guess, where it really felt like, ‘We’re gaining steam, this could happen in the spring, let’s do this...There just was not enough time for each of the people involved to focus on it, and for all of us to get into a room together. So the second Avengers movie is going to swallow up any Dr. Horrible hopes for at least another year and a half.”
Last year Fillion spoke with IGN about the sequel:
"We had designs on doing it sometime this summer, but Avengers 2 popped up. The upside is that everyone involved with that project still wants to do another one. No-one is getting impatient about it. I think we all have faith that we're going to do another one.“
