SPOILER ALERT: There only two episodes left in for NBC’s hit series, The Blacklist. Tonight’s all new episode of the dark-horse drama kicks off the two-part season finale. Check out the preview below to see what is store for Red and the team. The hit show might be going away for the summer, but it will be back in the fall. The show was renewed early one in the season. Meanwhile, James Spader isn’t taking much of a break. The actor is taking on the role of the titular villain in Marvel’s Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Director Joss Whedon has recently praised Spader’s performance by inadvertently blasting Tom Hiddleston's Loki.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of The Blacklist, titled “Berlin,” reads:
“Part 1 of 2. Liz concludes that she can't trust anyone and refuses to work with Red after the truth about her father's death is revealed. Red seeks to make amends and delivers a case the FBI can't turn down. Elsewhere, Liz divulges information about Tom.”
The second part of the episode, aptly titled “Berlin: Conclusion,” airs next week, and will serve as the season finale for the hit series. Do not worry, Red Reddington and the team will be back in the fall for the second season. The show was renewed very early on.
For fans anxiously awaiting more James Spader, can rest assure that actor will be up no good while he is on break. Spader is currently terrorizing the Avengers as the robotic villain Ultron in the new film.
During a recent interview with Empire, Avengers writer/director, Joss Whedon spoke highly of the film’s new movie’s villain:
"I'm having a blast with Ultron. He's not a creature of logic--he's a robot who's genuinely disturbed. We're finding out what makes him menacing and at the same time endearing and funny and strange and unexpected, and everything a robot never is."
Wheldon went on the add that they needed to extended cast extend in order to handle all that Spader has to offer:
"I fiercely dislike the idea of just throwing in more people for the sake of doing that. But last time I had all of Earth's Mightiest Heroes versus one British character actor, and I needed more conflict."
