Apparently One Directions' Liam Payne is not doing great, following his 2014 breakup with Sophia Smith. The two are no longer dating and Sophia has dropped the title of Liam's girlfriend.
It was E! News who was among the first to report on Liam's love life woes. On Friday, they reported on a sad tweet Louis posted at 3 in the morning:
"The One Direction cutie tweeted some cryptic messages earlier today, causing speculation as to whether or not his longtime relationship with girlfriend Sophia Smith has come to an end. 'Can't be without you. Worse thing I ever did was let you go...No all I got left is the thought of you.' Aw, Liam, it's OK. You can just rest that handsome head of yours on our shoulder and let it all out."
Sadly, it appears that Liam has been driven to a deep depression about the loss of his girlfriend. According to one source who spoke with Us Weekly, Liam is devastated by her departure:
"He's devastated that it's over but it was for the best. They were spending too much time apart and it's only going to get worse this year -- the band going on a super long tour, her getting busier with university. Too much long distance. It was draining for the both of them and led to a lot of arguments. Liam was the one who chose to end it."
