‘Frozen’ Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs Divorce News: “Let It Go” Singer ‘If/Then’ Tony Nomination; Too Old For ‘Wicked’ Movie Role [VIDEO]

Idina Menzel may be getting divorced from her husband Taye Diggs after ten years of marriage, but her career is healthier than ever. Is seems that nothing can derail Menzel since Frozen's "Let It Go" made the singer a household name. Idina's latest Broadway musical If/Then just made news by getting two Tony nominations despite making its NYC debut barely over a month ago. It looks like the newly single mom may even be getting the chance to have a part in the new Wicked movie though she has already been told that she is too old to reprise her original role as Elphaba.

Idina Menzel's star is still on the rise, as the Frozen actor has just been nominated for her role in the Broadway musical If/Then after having only officially opened March 31.

It is being reported by the Washington Post that Idina's new project has been nominated for two Tonys, but it is up against some pretty stiff competition:

"The ambitious but flawed If/Then got only two nominations, one for Menzel, its star, and the other for the score by composer Tom Kitt and lyricist Brian Yorkey.

"Menzel will compete against Mary Bridget Davies, whose performance as Janis Joplin in A Night With Janis Joplin was featured in two Arena Stage visits.

"The others in this category are Sutton Foster (Violet), Jessie Mueller (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) and Kelli O'Hara (The Bridges of Madison County)."

Idina, who originally stared in Wicked nearly a dozen years ago, recently admitted in an interview with Digital Spy that she knows she can't be Elphaba again in the film adaption, but Menzel still hopes that there will be a place for her in the project:

"I would die to be in [the film], except I'm afraid Kristin [Chenoweth] and I... they told us we're a little over the age for that.

"If I could be a part of it in some way, that would be great. But I already feel like I received--and continue to receive--the gifts from Wicked and how it affects audiences."

Even with all the layers of deep green makeup and CGI special affects the Wicked producers can't make Idina Menzel look like she did on stage in 2003?

It's not like she's Leatherface.
