Gerard Butler, best known for his abs in 300, has signed on for the Olympus Has Fallen sequel London Has Fallen. A theatrical release date has even been confirmed for the film despite the fact that it has no director and has yet to cast all its parts. The Point Break remake actor's ex-girlfriend Mădălina Ghenea, the model he reportedly dumped after she pressured him with marriage, is rumored to be dating 12 Years a Slave star Michael Fassbender as well as Jude Law.
Gerard Butler has a slew of movies in the chute to be shot, including the upcoming sequel to 2013 action blockbuster Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen.
The studio has yet to announce if U.S. President Aaron Eckhart or Speaker of the House Morgan Freeman will be returning for the new shoot-em-up, but the date that the movie will hit theaters, along with a brief synopsis of the script have been confirmed (via Variety):
"Focus Features has acquired U.S. distribution rights to London Has Fallen, sequel to Olympus Has Fallen, and set an Oct. 2, 2015 release date.
"The story will take place in London with an attack on the city during the funeral of the British prime minister, who has died under mysterious circumstances. Butler will reprise his role as a U.S. Secret Service agent."
Gerard Butler's old girlfriend Mădălina Ghenea reportedly had to be cut loose after she tried to pressure ole Gerry into putting an engagement ring on it.
Rumor has it that the model is back in the field--looking for a new Hollywood husband/husbands--and apparently this time around it's more of a numbers game (via Beauty World News):
"[Michael] Fassbender has been linked to Gerard Butler's ex-girlfriend, Mădălina Ghenea, who looked like she was more than friends with Jude Law at a premiere last week."
Sounds as though Mădălina is as picky about men, as Butler is about movies.
