When it comes to the couple of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes, rumors are always flying. Just days after it was rumored that the two were secretly engaged, new claims suggest the pair is headed towards a breakup over Ryan's alleged cheating with Ashley Madekwe.
As usual, the tabloids have gotten it entirely wrong. But how, exactly, did these blatantly untrue rumors get started? For the answer, we turn to Inquistr, who tells readers:
"Enstars reported that there might be another woman in Gosling's life. Revenge actress Ashley Madekwe recently said that she met Gosling and that the two really 'hit it off.' Naturally this must mean that they are having some steamy love affair right? Not exactly."
The publication was referencing EnStarz original article, which suggested that Mendes is ready to cut all ties with her ex and settle down with her heartthrob boyfriend:
"Mendes only put the old home on the market back in March, adding to the speculation that she and Gosling are secretly engaged. Getting rid of the property that she shared with her ex could be a signal that she and Gosling are looking to find a new place together as they plan for the future."
Of course, this isn't the first time we've seen rumors that Eva and Ryan were going to call it quits. A recent article in OK! suggests that two are going to call it quits, because Ryan hasn't proposed yet:
"For the past 18 months, they've been talking about taking the next step, to the point that on every vacation, Eva's been convinced he would be popping the question. The trip to Iceland in September was the last straw. She pretty much gave him an ultimatum, but he balked and she stormed out and flew back to the States without him."
Of course, this report was in direct contrast to an earlier article in the same tabloid. Last year, a source told OK! that it was Eva who was ending things:
"Eva said the relationship just ran its course. There wasn't a lot to say. He was everything you're supposed to want in a guy--great on paper--but she felt like something was missing."
