Does Thursday night not feel right with a new episode of NBC’s Community" Are you afraid of having to feel this way for the rest of your life? Well Nathan Fillion feels your pain. That is why the Castle and Firefly star is pushing for the cult college comedy to get six seasons and a movie. The show is on the bubble of renewal and cancellation and Captain Hammer is doing whatever he can to save the series. Nathan Fillion might also be making his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fillion recently teased that he is landed a role in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
No one commands a cult following Nathan Fillion...OK, maybe Jim Jones, but we all know how that turned out. So when the cult comedy Community needs saving it is only natural that they would turn to Fillion for help. Fillion has been pushing the show’s new renewal campaign, #SixSeasonsandaMovie. Fillion recently promoted the campaign on Twitter, writing:
“Community fans! This could be your reality. Tweet #sixseasonsandamovie to save the Earth. Destiny Time!”
Community creator Dan Harmon seems hellbent on completing his vision, with or without any help. Harmon recently spoke to Hitfix about making the movie work:
"If the movie has to be made out of clay and duct tape in my basement, then that's how the movie will be made, because there has to be closure. The title of the book about the show is not ‘Community, An Interesting Journey into a Show No One Ever Watched.’ The title of the book is obviously going to be, ‘Six Seasons and a Movie.’"
Fillion might soon be on his way to save universe..once again. Recently Firefly Q&A panel at the Saint Louis Comic-Con, a fan made mention of Nathan Fillion’s connection with Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn. Fillion worked with Gunn on the movies Slither and Super. The fan asked Fillion he wanted a part in GOTG, to which he replied:
"Wanting to get a part? Or maybe did? I'm just saying... maybe? Maybe you'll be surprised? Maybe check the credits of the movie when you watch it."
