For months the intrawebs have been filled with rumors that Carrie Underwood and her professional hockey playing husband Mike Fisher are either having a baby or divorcing because the American Idol winner isn't pregnant. But during the recent in-depth discussion about faith and relationships, the only real tension the couple seemed to have, revolved around their compromise of only eating the meat that the Nashville Predator kills himself.
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher have reportedly been at odd regarding his desire to have a family and Carrie's wanting to focus on her career.
A friend of the Nashville power couple told OK! that it really seems like the will tug-of-war is having a detrimental effect on their marriage:
"They've been locked in a baby battle and it was putting serious strain on their marriage.
"Carrie made a pact with Mike last year that if he let her pursue her acting dreams, she'd get pregnant in 2014.
"At the end of 2013, he gave her an ultimatum...[But Carrie only] gives vague answers, like, 'You'll just have to wait and see.'"
But during a recent public discussion about the marriage at the Q Conference in Nashville, the only real issue of contention the couple seemed to have with each other centered around the slaughter of defenseless animals--not child birth (via Christian Post):
"'Well, I'm an animal lover and he's a hunter,' said Underwood to a laughing audience.
"She added that this issue was particularly challenging because while she feels passionately about animals, Fisher feels more connected to god while out in the woods.
"The couple explained they had compromised by keeping meat from industrial, large-scale farms out of their kitchen and only serve Fisher's kills."
Maybe Carrie's afraid the Mike will eat the baby.
