‘Crisis’ Gillian Anderson And ‘Californication’ David Duchovny New 'X-Files' Movie Confirmed?

X-Files alumni Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny are two very busy bees this season. Gillian in working on a new BBC series as well as shows Crisis and Hannibal here in the US. Duchovney, for his part, is wrapping up Season 7 of Californication before heading lickity-splickity to NBC to work on the new Charles Manson based crime drama Aquarius. That doesn't mean they aren't down for making another X-Files movie, confirmed Anderson--it will just take time.

Gillian Anderson is busy shooting her new BBC drama The Fall in Belfast, but she is never too busy for her long-lost partner in crime Special Agent Fox Mulder, also known as David Duchovny.

When crazy Davey finally discovered Twitter, and presumably the internet, the other day, the first person he reached out to through the intrawebs ether was his dear old friend, the pretend FBI's very own Dana Sculley:

"Hi @GillianA why did you keep twitter a secret from me all these years? I'm here and I heart Scully ;) What's up?"

Anderson let Duchovny know that the feeling was mutual--drawing a picture of them each in their bed's longing for the other:

"And I heart Mulder all the way from Belfast. @davidduchovny"

David sent back a response from the other side of the solar system, complimenting Anderson on her amazing likenesses:

"Mulder is from Mars and Scully is from...Venus? Well doodled, G woman, well doodled indeed @GillianA"

Don't worry X-Files fans the truth about another movie has been put out there by Gillian herself in an interview with LA Times, about the possibilities of a future film:

"I'm very aware of it. I did a year's worth of Comic-Cons for the 20th anniversary when I could fit it into my schedule.

"There are still all the die-hard fans, and there's a new generation that's watching the show for the first time. They're obsessed. That's wonderful.

"It all depends on the script. But we've all said if it happens, we'll be there."

Let's hope so because the one with all the bees was really kind of lame.
