Election Day, Sarah Palin Backs Romney While Powell and Bloomberg Endorse Obama

One day before Americans are set to vote former Republican vice president nominee Sarah Palin has thrown her support behind Gov. Mitt Romney.

According to the Huffington Post the very outspoken Alaskan politician lend her support for Romney by writing on her Facebook.

"Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have offered a credible alternative to Barack Obama's failed policies. Governor Romney understands how the free market works. His pro-growth economic policies will benefit all Americans. He has promised to move us toward energy independence, deficit reduction, and responsible entitlement reform that honors our commitment to our seniors and keeps faith with future generations. Governor Romney deserves a chance to lead. President Obama had his chance. He's failed, and we can't afford to go backwards."

He also went on to say "On Tuesday, please vote for Governor Mitt Romney and the commonsense conservatives running for office in your states."

Other political figures weighing in on with Republican Colin Powell going the other way and backing President Barack Obama in an interview he said.

"You know, I voted for him in 2008 and I plan to stick with him in 2012, and I'll be voting for he and Vice President Joe Biden next month,

On Mitt Romney he said. "One day he has a certain strong view about staying in Afghanistan, but then on Monday night he agrees with the withdrawal. Same thing in Iraq. On every issue that was discussed on Monday night, Gov. Romney agreed with the president with some nuances. But this is quite a different set of foreign policy views than he had earlier in the campaign."

A burden laden New York mayor Michael Bloomberg also endorsed the current president but had said the Romney of old would have gotten his vote if he were around.
