Nexus 4 Gets Good Reviews, Expected To Challenge iPhone 5 & Samsung Galaxy S3

Nov. 13 is when Google Play stores in America, U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain and Canada will have the Nexus 4 available while online and T-Mobile possess the units on Nov. 14 and will cost patrons $200 with a contract there while unlock versions of the phone start at $300.

The Nexus 4 will have a quad core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2 GB RAM,8 GB storage and boast a 4.7-inch 1280x768 display and carry an 8 megapixel camera at the back.

The new hardware is a revamped version of the Optimus G and was assembled by LG. The Nexus 4 will utilize Android 4.2 also known as Jelly Bean and like the new tablet Nexus 10 will use Miracast which allows multimedia interface which means one can place photos, videos and games to an HDTV.

This new device is getting good reviews from critics and will compete highly with Apple's iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S III.

Wired.com said "Android has a new champion. The Nexus 4, built by LG in collaboration with Google, is the best overall Android handset currently available, and it's one of the best phones to be released this year."

They also went on to say in one of the few negative points about the phone in their report. "The lack of LTE connectivity will spoil the Nexus 4 for some."

The Verge has a more mixed view of the device. "The Nexus 4 is absolutely wonderful, but it's also vexing. Frustrating. Annoying. It's easily the best Android phone on the market right now, and has some of the most powerful software that's ever been put on a mobile phone. It's an upgrade from last year's Galaxy Nexus in every way. It's terrific - save for one small thing... In the US, a flagship phone without LTE is like a muscle car with no wheels. For other networks in other countries, and for the lucky T-Mobile customers out there that are getting great speeds on its HSPA+ network - great."
