It didn't take long for Taxi Driver prostitute Jodie Foster to go from coming out as a lesbian to full-blown gay married--just under 17 months--but the Hollywood icon and her artist girlfriend Alexandra Hedison apparently had a wedding somewhere during the period when the couple started dating back in October and Thursday afternoon. Rumor has it the Jodie's new wife's vindictive ex Ellen DeGeneres has sworn that she will get revenge on Foster for tying the knot with her old old lady.
The intrawebs are abuzz with the news from aging actress/director Jodie Foster's official rep that the recently outed Hollywood legend and her girlfriend Alexandra Hedison have married.
The United Kingdom's Independent reports that a wedding was confirmed to have taken place, but other than that mums still the word:
"Hollywood star Jodie Foster has married her girlfriend Alexandra Hedison, the Oscar-winning actor's publicist has confirmed.
"The publicist, Jennifer Allen, offered no other information about the wedding last weekend."
Most of the Tinsel Town's movers and shakers will be calling to congratulate Jodie and Alexandra, but if Hedison's ex Ellen DeGeneres calls the ladies it will likely be a bomb threat.
An insider with the skinny on the lesbian love triangle told Showbiz Spy that Ellen was the vengeful sort of looney lessie that would not soon forget this slight from elderly Jodie Foster:
"Ellen feels Jodie is stabbing her in the back by hooking up with Alex.
"The lesbian community in Hollywood is very small, and it's well-known that Ellen and Alex had a very contentious breakup after Ellen got tired of Alex and hooked up with Portia de Rossi.
"Ellen is extraordinarily competitive, so it pains her to see Alex moving on with someone as successful and talented as Jodie.
"Ellen is also vindictive, and she's spreading the word among mutual friends that Jodie is pathetic for picking up her cast-off."
