ABC 2014 'Scandal' Season 3 Finale Ratings Verdict; Columbus Short NOT Fired Following Attempted Murder Charges?

ABC's 2014 Season 3 finale of Scandal brought in even more viewers thanks to its wild plot lines that even rivaled co-star Columbus Shorts real-life violent shenanigans. Despite having been arrested on assault charges several times before his most recent outburst last week--wherein Mr. Short is being accused by his wife of holding a knife to her throat whilst swearing to murder her--"Killa Columbo" isn't going to be fired by Shonda Rimes.

Not too surprising is Shonda Rimes success at making this year's Scandal season finale even more popular that the last.

It has been reported by USA Today that not only did Scandal's season capper draw more rating this go round, the series finished in the top ten overall for the week:

"The season finale of ABC's Scandal racked up 10.6 million fans Thursday, up 16% from last May's sendoff.

"Top 20 shows of the week:

"7. Person of Interest (CBS), 10.7 million

"8. Scandal (ABC), 10.6 million

"9. Big Bang Theory (Thurs., 8 p.m., CBS), 9.7 million"

Actor/raving looney Columbus Short told TMZ that he couldn't see any reason why recent allegation that he almost beat his wife to death should cause him to lose his role on Scandal:

"I don't know what all the noise is about...Everything's great."

A judge didn't seem to see the glass quiet as half-full as Short does; TMZ reports that Columbus has been thrown out of his house by the court, due to his violet crimes:

"Columbus Short is being allowed to return to his home--after being banned from the premises for allegedly threatening to kill his wife--but he won't have time to get comfortable...a judge is giving Short just 2 hours at home to get his stuff...and get out."

Odd...calling someone a name on the set of Grey's will get you a pink slip from Shonda Rimes, but you have to literally murder some before you catch a wrist slap at Scandal.

Must be because Kerry Washington's characters don't have to take the Hippocratic Oath.
