FEMA Former Boss Michael Brown Says Obama Reacted Too Quickly To Hurricane Sandy Plights

Michael Brown former FEMA director according to Yahoo News says President Barack Obama reacted to swiftly to Hurricane Sandy victims.

Hurricane Sandy has at least killed 60 or more people in the Caribbean and just as much in the United States when it made landfall in New Jersey few days ago.

The storm caused New York and New Jersey billions of dollars so far in damage and has brought New York's MTA and New Jersey's NJTransit to a crawl. The states major airports have been greatly troubled and many parts of two states remain with power while some of its residents are without homes.

According to Yahoo Michael Brown former head of FEMA said in an interview with Denver Westwood. ""One thing (President Obama's) gonna be asked is, why did he jump on (Hurricane Sandy) so quickly and go back to D.C. so quickly when in... Benghazi, he went to Las Vegas? Why was this so quick? ... At some point, somebody's going to ask that question."

According to the Huffington Post Craig Fugate FEMA administrator responded to Brown's statement telling the media that is "better to be fast than to be late."

Fugate also claimed that Gov. Mitt Romney wanted to do away with FEMA, a accusation that Romney's camp denies.

"Governor Romney believes that states should be in charge of emergency management in responding to storms and other natural disasters in their jurisdictions," said campaign spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg. "As the first responders, states are in the best position to aid affected individuals and communities and to direct resources and assistance to where they are needed most. This includes help from the federal government and FEMA."
