Engaged Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman Baby News: ‘BGT’ Producer Bans Kardashians

While some people are still speculating whether or not surly X Factor producer Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman are ever going to get engaged now that baby Eric is here, we do have definite news about Kim Kardashian joining the Britain's Got Talent judges on the immensely popular televised talent contest. While the Kardashian klan aren't exactly banned from Si's American series, the music mogul apparently finds the idea of Mrs. Kanye West joining his show in England laughable.

Simon Cowell is more than happy to give 80-year-old dancing marvel Paddy a shot on Britain's Got Talent, but he reportedly isn't looking to do the same for social media pariah Kim Kardashian.

Cheryl Cole and Simon are the only two judges confirmed for next year's season, and according to rumor Cole is pushing hard for Cowell to add Miss K to the rooster.

A source told the Daily Star that it was important for Cheryl to prove herself, by getting Kim on the panel (via Entertainmentwise):

"Cheryl's been busy convincing Simon that while Kim isn't a singer, she'd be a great mentor because she knows how to handle fame.

"The idea is that Kim would fly over and give special media training to the acts towards the end of the show. And obviously Simon realizes that the inevitable publicity would do the ratings no harm."

"Cheryl is desperate to win this year. She feels like she has something to prove to Simon and the British public."

But Simon apparently thinks that that idea is good for a bit a laugh and nothing more.

When Entertainmentwise asked him about Kardashian possibly getting to weigh in on BGT next year, he only has two words for them:

"Yeah right."

Cowell is far more willing to give 80-year-old dancing phenomenon Paddy a shot at winning this year'sBritain's Got Talent ultimate prize.

When a social media backlash began to build following news that Paddy had already won a BGT-like show in Spain way back in 2009, Simon got on Twitter to argue that the old bird should be given a chance:

"Don't knock paddy for performing on a Spanish talent show. She is British and wants the chance to perform in front of our royal family.

"She is 80 years old. Let her have that chance. You the viewers will decide".

Yeah...take a long look at those hips, and then try to insist that crone hasn't earned the right to compete.
