Tonight there is an all new episode of the hit A&E thriller Bates Motel. The show was recently renewed for Season 3, wich means you can expect to see plenty more Freddie Highmore and Max Thieriot. Speaking of seeing more of Thieriot, the racing enthusiast recently opened up about going shirtless in the series.
Max Thieriot might not be afraid to speed down a racetrack at 200 mph, but he did feel a little uneasy about taking his shirt off on camera. Thieriot recently spoke with Just Jarred about going shirtless with the proper prep:
“There’s actually another scene that will come up where I have my shirt off. I just kind of started preparing for that, but, to be honest, I was actually a little disappointed because I wasn’t supposed to be shirtless that day. I just kind of started my diet. I started cutting down a little bit. I was a little disappointed that day because I just ate a giant breakfast and hadn’t worked out and done all these things and then they say ‘you’re going to take a shirt off in the scene.’ I was like, ‘no, really?’”
However, Max’s character Dylan has bigger problems than losing a few layers of clothing. He recently found out that he was the product of rape and insest, and so he went out and did what anyone would do in that situation. He got himself hit by a car during a shootout in broad daylight. Max also explained what was going through Dylan’s head at that time, adding:
“At this point, after all the news that Dylan has been given, he’s kind of just lost and basically he sort of believes that nobody really cares for him and that he’s an outsider. He doesn’t fit in and he’s at a point where he sort of having a little bit of a 'don’t care' mentality. He is kind of just risking it all. He’s not thinking of the consequences. He’s not really worried about anything, he’s kind of just acting in the moment. There’s a part of him that doesn’t really care if he dies.”
Be sure to check out the new episode of Bates Motel tonight at 10:00 p.m. on A&E.
It was recently announced that show has been renewed for a third season. A&E’s executive vice president David McKillop made the announcement to reporters, stating:
“The incredible writing team and talented Bates Motel cast has made this series one of the most compelling original dramas on television. The brilliant twists and turns of the past two seasons keep its loyal fanbase coming back for more. We are so proud of the show.”
