‘Firefly’ Nathan Fillion’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Cameo & New ‘Castle’ ‘That 70’s Show’ Episode [SPOILERS]

Thank your lucky stars, because it is looking like Nathan Fillion might soon be returning to space. No Firefly has not been picked back up, but we might just be getting the second best thing. During a recent Comic-Con Q&A, the actor leaked a possible spoiler for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Fillion teased a cameo appearance in the upcoming James Gunn film. However, Fillion fans will not have to wait that long to see the charmer in action. His hit ABC series Castle returns next week with an all new episode, titled “That 70’s Show."

Forget about Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s recent reunion on Two and a Half Men, it’s Castle that is really taking us back to the 70’s. The official plot synopsis for next week’s new episode, titled “That 70’s Show,” reads:

“The body of a mobster who vanished in the 1970s is found by construction workers, and Beckett and Castle must deal with a murder witness who believes it's still the 1970s.”

Nathan Fillion has worked with Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn in the past on the film’s Slither and Super. Now it appears that the pair might collaborate again.

During a Firefly panel Q&A at the Saint Louis Comic-Con, Fillion’s connection with Gunn was brought up. One fan asked the charmer if he wanted a part in GOTG, to which he replied:

"Wanting to get a part? Or maybe did? I'm just saying... maybe? Maybe you'll be surprised? Maybe check the credits of the movie when you watch it."

Nathan Fillion also has a long history with Joss Whedon. It is entirely possible that Fillion could have a much larger role in Marvel Cinematic Universe. What role do you want see Fillion play? Let us know in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
