Josh Hutcherson, of Hunger Games Catching Fire fame, may have a big night tonight, after being nominated for a MTV Movie Award. His nomination follows months of rumors that suggest the star is bi and, of course, co-star Liam Hemsworth's high-profile breakup from Miley Cyrus.
Hutcherson has a lot of stiff competition in the category of Best Male Performance, however, fans of the popular Hunger Games series have been campaigning for the sexy star.
In order to win the award, Josh will have to eliminate Bradley Cooper (American Hustle), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Leonardo DiCaprio (The Wolf of Wall Street) and Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club).
This potential accolade comes after numerous tabloids claimed that Josh is bisexual. The rumors got started after Josh gave a very touching interview to OUT, where he continued to champion gay rights.
Hutcherson even implied that he could see himself with a man sometime in the future, telling the publication (via Hollywood Life):
"Maybe I could say right now I'm 100 percent straight. But who knows? In a f**king year, I could meet a guy and be like, 'Whoa, I'm attracted to this person.' "I've met guys all the time that I'm like, 'Damn, that's a good-looking guy,' you know? I've never been, like, 'Oh, I want to kiss that guy.' I really love women. But I think defining yourself as 100 percent anything is kind of near-sighted and close-minded.'"
To follow the award ceremony live, you can flip over to MTV at 9:00 p.m.
