Tonight there is an all new episode of the ABC fairytale drama, Once Upon a Time. Tune in to see Colin O’ Donoghue Hook (pun very much intended) up Ariel. Soon there will be a completely live action version of Ariel. A movie based of the book The Little Mermaid is currently in pre-production.
ABC’s Once Upon a Time is all new tonight. Everyone’s favorite right-handed-pirate is about to get his hooks into the little mermaid. Ariel returns tonight and encounters Captain Hook on her quest for her very own treasure..Prince Eric.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “The Jolly Roger," reads:
“Ariel seeks Hook's help in locating Prince Eric. Meanwhile, Regina becomes Emma's tutor in magic; Mary Margaret and David try to show Henry they're not as dull as he thinks they are; and back in fairy-tale land, Hook and Ariel search for his stolen ship.”
TV Line's Ask Ausiello column first reported on the Ariel’s long-awaited return:
“Without divulging the exact storyline, Colin O’Donoghue says that JoAnna Garcia Swisher’s encore as the Little Mermaid means ‘You’ll get to see Hook and Ariel interact a bit, which I think will be fun. They have a ‘tricky’ sort of relationship, and I think people will like it.’”
Check out the new episode of Once Upon a Time tonight on ABC at 8:00 p.m.
There is also about to a brand new version of Ariel on the silver screen. Sophia Coppelia, has been rumored to direct Universal’s upcoming adaptation of the classic, Hans Christian Anderson story The Little Mermaid. However, this will be far cry from the beloved Disney version. The original tale is a whole lot darker.
