Wolf of Wall Street Leonard DiCaprio has been dating model Toni Garnn for almost a year, and this week decided to mix things up by taking his girlfriend to Cochella Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival. But Leo seemed to busy trying to hide from cameras to have any actual fun. At least DiCaprio isn't dead yet; his reps had to reassure the world the Leo wasn't dead after a hoax surfaced online alleging that the Titanic star had died while skiing in Switzerland. The Oscar nominated actor recently opened about the temptation of drugs in Hollywood, but he denied ever abusing any.
According to Daily Star Leonardo DiCaprio is just the latest victim of an internet death hoax, and this isn't even the first time it's happened:
"Celebrity gossip website Media Fetcher, Leo was such a novice on the slopes that he lost control of his snowboard at the luxury Zermatt ski resort and ploughed into a tree and neck-breaking speed.
"But when the Daily Star Online team contacted the actor's people, his representative just about giggled down the phone.
"It's the second time that the Hollywood ace has been targeted. Back in April 2009, the celeb's spokesman had to issue a statement assuring fans that he was still alive and kicking."
Not only is Leo alive and well, he is also drug free.
Leo told the Daily Mail that he had grown up around drug abuse, but he never chose that life for himself:
"Never done it. That's because I saw this stuff literally every day when I was three or four years old. So Hollywood was a walk in the park for me.
"I'd go to parties and it was there and, yeah, there's that temptation. Hollywood is a very volatile place where artists come in and they essentially say they want to belong.
"It's incredibly vulnerable to be an actor and also get criticism at a young age when you're formulating who you are. We've seen a lot of people fall victim to that, and it's very unfortunate."
Like the perfect gentleman Leo always saves all the drugs for his dates.
