Frozen's wickedly awesome it girl, Idina Menzel is going through a semi-painful divorce with her husband of ten years, Private Practice actor, Taye Diggs. Though Idina has played down any drama, she can't be happy about cheating Diggs allowing himself to be caught out with his new girlfriend, only a few months into their separation. The "Let It Go" Singer has put up a brave front, but admits that it is sometimes a little difficult performing If/Then on Broadway eight times a week, while juggling the responsibilities of being a single mother.
Idina Menzel sure has been busy ever since Frozen and its hit single "Let It Go" took off at the box office like a bottle rocket.
When you add in the additional stress of her new musical If/Then's Broadway run along with her being a single parent for the first time in her life--things can seem a little daunting for Idina (via USA):
"This is the first time I'll be doing eight shows a week with a child.
"I've taken him on the road with me. I've taken him on a tour bus.
"[It] can be chaotic, but it's also just made me more calm.
"It sets my priorities straight...I don't get as much sleep, but whatever it may be, I get up there and I'm more relaxed."
The situation cannot be helped by Taye Diggs openly flaunting his relationship with another woman, while he and Menzel are still going through the divorce process, aka still married.
According to the Daily Mail, Taye made no attempt to hide or act ashamed while in Los Angeles the other night with some new girlfriend:
"The Private Practice star and his curvy date walked hand-in-hand as they left Hooray Henry's nightclub after their date.
"His new girlfriend wore a clinging black and white striped skirt teamed with a black crop top - revealing a hint of her toned waist.
"The lovey dovey two certainly appeared to be more than just friends, stopping for Taye to whisper something into her ear, before facing the cameras smiling."
Menzel has mentioned at limes that she feels that she and Taye just kind of drifted apart, but she once admitted to CBS that if she didn't have to put on a brave face she wouldn't (via Daily Mail):
"If I didn't have a job...I'd be home eating a tray of brownies and, you know, watching sad romantic comedies and Bridget Jones-ing it out."
Boo...Taye Diggs...Boo.
