NCIS: LA Season 5 cast member LL Cool J has been announced the over-all winner of CBSSports March Madness Celebrity Bracket Challenge, despite getting some predictions wrong. Spoilers: Daniela Ruah, who plays Kensi Blye on the show, says tonight's episode about her escape from Afghanistan is so epic, it often seemed like she was shooting a full-scale movie.
NCIA: Los Angeles' LL Cool J proved he is a rapping, acting, psychic triple threat, when he won CBSSports Celebrity Bracket Challenge championship a full 21 points ahead of the next highest scorer, Eric Christian Olsen.
According to CBS sports site, LL Cool J didn't get everything right, of course, but he did dominate all the other celebrity players:
"With no celebrity picking Connecticut to win it all, LL Cool J edged out NCIS: Los Angeles cast mate Eric Christian Olsen, who finished second with 76 points and a 40-23 record.
"LL Cool J, who stars as Senior Special Agent Sam Hanna on the CBS hit drama, put together an impressive run, going 44-19 overall with 97 points . He missed on Michigan State and Arizona in the Final Four, but had Kentucky winning it all.
"Olsen, who plays Detective Marty Deeks, ended up in second place after picking Florida to win it all."
Actress Daniela Ruah recently told TVGuide that tonight's episode, wherein Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Sam (LL Cool J) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) try to infiltrate Taliban enemy lines to save her after a failed Afghanistan assassination, was absolutely movie like in scale (via Lakeville):
"I think this is probably my favorite episode that we've shot.
"It's sort of like a movie. The action's incredible. I think everybody was on their game, when it came to performances. There's some really intense scenes.
"It's the team fighting for one of their own, which always makes for a good episode. There's a lot at stake."
"[Hetty] not entirely confident about Kensi's psychological and emotional abilities when she first comes back...So we'll see how that pans out."
