‘Arrow’ Stephen Amell Talks Ab Workout & New Episode Break

Arrow star Stephen Amell loves his job. The guy spends a vast amount of time each day on social networking sites promoting the series. So it comes as no surprise that the actor would defend his show whenever it comes under fire. That is just what Amell did after fans got upset over the new episode break. Amell also took a little time to talk about his ab workout to.

So there is no new episode of Arrow on this week. If that upsets you, then you should know that it upsets Stephen Amell too. However, Amell doesn’t want you blaming him. In a recent Facebook mini-rant, Amell explained just why the show has to take so many breaks:

“1. I don't run the network, or the studio. I'm not involved in post-production or any type of special effects. I don't score the episodes, or color correct them. Which is to say, I have no effect on them, once principal photography is finished.

"2. I hate breaks AS MUCH AS EVERYONE ELSE. My favorite thing about the latter seasons of 24 and Lost? They'd start later in the year and air uninterrupted until the finale. Love that strategy.”

Amell went on to add that he is not the brains of the show, just the body:

“If I had any input on the show beyond reciting my lines and doing as many crunches as possible, I'd advocate that strategy.”

Stephen understands that most of the fans are not seriously upset with him, but he still isn’t having any of it, adding:

“So... knowing all of this, instead of complaining--legitimately or lightheartedly--about the number of mini breaks the show takes, why don't we just all go on living our lives.”

The Canadian star went on to take a dig at the Toronto Blue Jays, writing:

“Complaining to me is like yelling at Rogers for the Blue Jays being terrible. Actually... bad example. We should blame Rogers consistently and with all of our hearts.”

Arrow returns on April 16.
