Tonight, the hit A&E thriller Bates Motel is all new. It was recently confirmed that Psycho prequel, starring Freddie Highmore, has been renewed for a third season. Check the preview below to see what is next for Norman and the Bates family.
Bates Motel has proven to be a hit for A&E. The killer drama is a departure from the network's usual programs, such as Duck Dynasty. However, the show has proven that it has staying power. Bates Motel recently received an order for a third season. However, there are still a few episodes left in Season 2.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Plunge,” reads:
“Dylan takes control of a volatile situation; Norma and Norman's relationship is threatened; and Emma finds herself in a dangerous situation.”
Taking on such a well known role like Norman Bates can be terrifying for any actor, but Freddie Highmore has made it work. Highmore recently spoke to Examiner.com about his take on the iconic character:
“I think we kind of feel for Norman at times and so you’re sympathizing with some you know is going to become an infamous serial killer. And kind of that challenges us to think if I had had that upbringing, if I had been brought up not necessarily in the world of ‘Psycho’ or ‘Bates Motel’ but generally a different upbringing, if you had parents who treated you in a certain way, would you be slightly different? Is it necessarily Norman’s fault?”
Be sure to check out the all new episode of Bates Motel, tonight at 10:00 p.m. on A&E.
