New ‘Archer’ Episode After 2 Season Renewal with ‘Always Sunny:’ Is ‘Chozen’ Canceled?

The hit FX series Archer: Vice is all new tonight with its third to last episode of the season. Don’t worry Sterling Archer fans, the beloved animated series has already been confirmed for another two seasons. The former FX, now FXX show, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, has also received the same two season order. However, things are not looking so good for the newcomer, Chozen. While it has yet to be confirmed, it’s looking like the new show might be canceled.

There are only three episodes left of Archer: Vice for this season. Tonight’s new showing picks right up where last week’s episode ended.

It was recently announced that the now former Isis agents will return next year and the year after that. The show has been renewed for at least two more seasons, however, the new vice plot will not be returning.

The show’s creator, Adam Reed, recently spoke Entertainment Weekly about dropping the Vice theme next year:

“I think this next season we will sort of unreboot, or whatever--deboot,“and get back to the basics of some spy missions.”

Reed did manage to tease some of what might be instore for the new seasons:

“Lana’s going to have a baby, so I see some funny things with getting her co-workers to babysit. I wrote this down the other day: ‘Somebody walks in on Pam [Poovey, ISIS human resources director] chewing up Vienna sausages and then spitting them into the baby’s mouth like a gorilla.’ They’re like, ‘What are you doing?’ And she’s like, ‘This is how I always do it!’”

The new episode of Archer airs tonight at 10:00 p.m. on FX.

Recently, the new series Chozen ended it’s first and possibly last season. The joint animated venture from the producers of Archer and Eastbound and Down ended the season with very low ratings.
