Superstar Britney Spears maybe shelling out the excess of $1 million to her legal team in the fight against former manager Sam Lufti this according to Eonline.com.
Spears has hired a cluster of lawyers to defend her in the case they include Leon Gladstone, Stephen Rohde, Joel Boxer and Bonita Moore and its been reported that the group makes about $500 per hour in court, the figure rises to $700 and will cost the star around $50,000 a day.
The X-Factor judge and her parents are being sued by her former manager Sam Lufti for defamation of character, breach of contract, libel, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. These claims have surfaced according to Lufti from a book published by Spears mother, Lynne Spears and he is suing especially for false statements made about him.
Lufti is seeking 15 percent of $800,000 of Spears earnings each month for eight months. Spears can not testify due to the fact that she is under conservatorship.
An insider told Radar. "Sam was poisonous to Britney, she lost custody of her kids while he was her manager and she was also hospitalized twice for mental health issues. It's no coincidence that she's now doing much better without Sam in her life."
Spears has topped the charts on numerous occasions and has seven albums to ther name including the latest one "Femme Fatale." Spears is reportedly making $15 million.
