Despite being pregnant with her own baby bump, sometimes it seems like Kelly Clarkson can't take a break. The renowned singer is not only part of a major lawsuit, but she's also battling terrible morning sickness. Now some tabloids are suggesting that Avril Lavigne is trying to steal Clarkson's thunder by leaking her own version of Clarkson's hit "Breakaway." The reports, however, are utterly laughable.
After all, it was Lavigne who helped write the song. In fact, it was supposed to be part of Avril's own debut album, as Business Standard reports:
"Pop star Avril Lavigne's original version of Kelly Clarkson's hit 'Breakaway' has leaked online. The track was a global hit for the American Idol winner back in 2004, which prompted her to name her second studio album after the cut...Lavigne originally co-wrote and recorded 'Breakaway' for her own debut album Let Go in 2002, but decided it was unsuitable for the collection."
Kelly Clarkson may have to appear in court while she is still pregnant with her first child. According to a new report by Radar Online, the singer will be joining a number of other A-listers in a suit against Sony:
"American Idol creator Simon Fuller's 19 Recordings-with artists like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry and Clay Aiken-filed a lawsuit on Thursday against Sony Music seeking more than $10 million dollars in damages, claiming Sony has been intentionally stealing millions of dollars in royalties."
What do you think about the latest gossip? Do you even believe that the recording is real? Who do you think sang "Breakaway" better?
