Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman aren't engaged just yet, but that doesn't mean that surly music mogul is willing to let her go. The 54-year-old producer admits that although he plans to beat baby Eric at all things competitive; Cowell will let Lauren discipline their son in the future. His fellow Britain's Got Talent judges won't be spared form his wrath however, Simon plans to win the show's unofficial Best Baby Award.
Simon Cowell is super-excited to teach new-born baby Eric all about the ins-and-outs of life, but that's doesn't mean he plans on letting him win--ever.
Simon recently admitted to the Daily Mail that although he wasn't really suited to be the boy's disciplinarian, we was looking forward to being Eric's mentor (via TV3):
"If we were playing Monopoly and you were winning I'd have to tip to the table up because I'd think, 'What's the point in playing if I'm going to lose?'...I don't know about [letting Eric win]. I think I'll have to teach him to cheat.
"My dad was a total softie with me. My mum was the disciplinarian, so I'll probably be exactly the same.
''I'm looking forward to doing the fun stuff - teaching him to go-kart, watching all the movies I used to watch, the cartoons. I don't think I'll be able to do the telling off.''
Cowell says that his competitive nature even flourishes on the set of BGT, where he and the other judges argue over whose baby's best.
Simon told the Daily Mail that David Williams fancied himself the front runner, but things would change (via Mirror):
"Everything in this business is about ratings and success...I think you can get very competitive.
"There's a lot of competitive parenting going on. Everyone thinks their baby is the cutest.
"David is the most competitive. I think he was miffed when I became a father because it meant he wasn't the center of attention anymore."
If we see Simon knock the BGT judges table over however, we'll know that baby Eric must no longer be in the lead.
