Paula Patton has still not officially called off her splt from cheating Robin Thicke, but if Robin's dad Alan has anything to say about it, she will shortly. The Canadian actor, though twice divorced himself, is rumored to have begged Paula to get back together with his son. Whatever happens Robin says he'll be happy; he's already writing the best songs of his life.
Robin Thicke seems almost content with the limbo that his marriage to Paula Patton is currently in, but his father Canadian actor Alan Thicke is none to pleased with the recent turn of events.
Robin told MTV that despite the fact his wife has left him and may not ever be coming back, he is happy, because he is creating the best music of his life:
"Everything about this moment in my life--this amazing year I just had and what I'm going through personally-has actually ignited some of the best writing I've done in a long time.
"My music is very honest about what I'm going through and my songs are about my life.
"We're both very happy right now--much happier."
Well, Alan Thicke sure as hell isn't happy about the split and, according to a source sited by TVNZ, has reportedly reached out to Paula on Robin's behalf:
"Paula adores Alan and he adores her. He admitted he made a mess of his own love life and caused pain for his family with divorces.
"But he told Paula he believes she and Robin have the strength to get through this and save their union.
"It's ironic that Alan's playing marriage counsellor. But he doesn't want his son to make the same mistakes he made.
"Robin's convinced that his smooth-talking dad--despite his own checkered romantic history--could help him win back his wife."
Sounds like Paula would be much better off trying to make it work with 67-year-old Alan, than his spoiled little boy.
