The ever gracious Broadway singer and Frozen phenomenon Idina Menzel is not the kind of person to hold a grudge. Maybe the 42-year-old is too busy focusing on her new If/Then NYC run to be anything other than understanding. Not only has she completely forgiven John Travolta for screwing up her name at the Oscars, Menzel sounded absolutely Ghandi like when discussing he divorce to husband of ten years, Taye Diggs.
Idina Menzel is clearly nearly as perfect of the inside as she is on the outside; instead of reminding herself of evry slight and argument of the not so distant past, she just lets it go.
During a recent interview with E! News, Idina made it seem that she was almost happy that she and her husband Taye Diggs have decided to call their decade long marriage quits:
"We met when we were 25 in Rent. So, we've been through a lot of ups and downs, and we've worked really hard for a long time.
"I just think we've grown apart, grown up, grown to a place where we think maybe we can learn new things about ourselves, going on our own separate ways."
And when Menzel talks about John Travolta butchering her name, just before her big performance at the Oscars, Idina sounds like she is the one who screwed up and had to regroup (via Daily Mail):
"It threw me for like eight seconds because I had done this whole preparation to make sure I really was in my body and didn't get too nervous.
"So I was picturing my son Walker and singing it to him like we do in the bathtub and make sure I breathe - and then [Travolta] said my name like that and I was like, 'Did that just happen?'"
"Then the orchestra started and then for eight seconds, I said, 'Get your s**t together!
'And like, stop worrying about your name and sing this song!'
"So, it took me about eight seconds to get over myself."
One thing is for certain...Taye Diggs definitely doesn't deserve Idina Menzel.
Maybe no one does.
