Now Jason Aldean and his wife are getting a divorce, he is “Going Where the Lonely Go.” The “Night Train,” singer is covering the Merle Haggard classic. However, he won't be singing the new song for too long. It has been revealed that Aldean allegedly cheated on his soon to be ex-wife, with former American Idol contestant, Brittany Kerr.
Last year, it was revealed that Jason Aldean had cheated on his wife with American Idol hopeful, Brittany Kerr. At that time he addressed his inappropriate actions on Facebook, writing:
"Hey Guys--I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip websites. The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story.”
However, the story went on, and Aldean and his wife split up soon after. Now, Aldean has recently been confirmed to be dating Kerr.
The new girl has Aldean singing an old tune. An old Merle Haggard tune, to be exact.
Aldean is just one of many artist featured on the new Merle Haggard tribute record, Working Man’s Poet, released on April 1. On the record Aldean covers Haggard’s “Gone Where The Lonely Go.”
Aldean recently told Radio.com about choosing that song:
“It was always just one of my favorite Merle Haggard songs. My dad was a big Merle Haggard fan, and I just remember him playing this song a lot as a kid. So given a chance to in and be part of [this tribute], I wanted to do a song that meant a little something to me. And this was one that took me back to my days as a kid.”
