The cast of 2014's Season 6 of Flipping Out don't worry about the appropriateness of a conversation until after they have it, if at all. So when Jenni Pulos admits to boss Jeff Lewis on tonight's episode that she is afraid that the baby may tear apart her taint and vagina during birth, the whole team joins in the conversation. Though Jenni kind of brings the talk on herself by mentioning things like "husband stitches" for no reason at all.
Jenni Pulos gives birth on tonight's episode of Bravo's Flipping Out, but there is no telling at what cost.
In a video teaser available at The Wrap, Jenni openly discusses her trepidations, while the staff takes bets on the chances that her taint just ain't going to make it:
"I am concerned about tearing, but I'm not really stressed about about it.
"But when you see what's here, and you see what's coming out of down there--yeah I'm concerned. I am absolutely terrified."
Don't worry though Jenni has a plan to get through the ordeal with her vagina, if not her pride, fully restored and operational (via Hollywood Life):
"Husband stitch. The name says it all. I say an overwhelming yes!
"Get an ice glove! Have the hospital give you ice gloves and put them down there. It is a rubber glove filled with ice wrapped in a wash cloth. It is your best friend those first few days after childbirth.
"Try to score a few more slushies, too!"
And what is a husband stitch? Mama Birth happily describes it in terificaly, horrible, traumatizing detail:
"The husband stitch is an extra stitch in the perenium after a woman gives birth and either tears or is cut.
"The husband stitch is meant to tighten up the vagina by stitching the vaginal opening smaller than it was before giving birth. Women are often told that it will feel like she is a virgin again and will be nice for her partner."
Holy geez, who in the hell would ever volunteer that kind of information to someone, without at least giving the psychological evaluation beforehand to make sure they can handle it?
And you're going to have to find out what exactly perenium a is, for your damn self.
