DC might have some trouble getting a live action franchise off the ground and onto the big screen, but they are killing it in when it comes to animated features. Now, new footage for the upcoming Damian Wayne centered film, Son of Batman has been released. The new scene expands on the Batmobile scene from the trailer. Meanwhile, the tragically canceled DC cartoon’s, Young Justice season one and Green Lantern: The Animated Series are now available on Netflix.
Batman Vs Superman might be two years away but you will not have to wait that long to catch the caped crusader in his next movie. The animated adaptation of Grant Morrison's Son of Batman comic is almost here. In the new film, Tara Nova star, Jason O'Mara reprises his role as Batman, from Justice League: War.
O’Mara recently spoke to USA Today about being Batman:
"There's a little bit of Batman in everybody. He doesn't have any superpowers, he wasn't born with anything special. He's just dealing with what he's got as a human being."
He went on to add that playing Batman can be a challenge:
"This is a tricky genre because everybody has their opinion as to who the best voice is for which character. This is a tough thing to crack, so I look at it as another opportunity to get Batman right. Every time I show up in front of the mic when I'm playing spooky, I'm trying to give it my all and bring out my inner Batman."
Check out the new footage from Son of Batman. Also head on over to Netflix and check out Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series so you can complain about why Cartoon Network was dumb enough to cancel both amazing shows.
