No one won this weekend’s Powerball lottery drawing. Check the power preview below to see what the jackpot total amount will be for this Wednesday’s game.
The new Powerball jackpot total has reached an impressive $60 million, with an estimated cash value of $34.9 million.
The Powerball website is reporting the most recent winner to come forward:
“$60 Million Powerball® Winner Comes Forward –Celebrates with Coupon at Carl's Jr.!
“For some people, winning $60 million would be life-changing. For Joseph Saxer, the winner of the March 1st Powerball jackpot, it's not going to change a thing. And if you have any doubts to that claim, wait until you hear how Saxer celebrated the big win.
"’I took my wife to Carl's Jr. and we got a buy one get one free of the, what they call the 'Philly Cheese,' and we shared a Coke then went back home,’ said Saxer, an Air Force retiree. Need even more proof? When asked if the couple would now start buying two Cokes, Saxer just laughed.
“Saxer's ticket successfully matched all six numbers 3, 8, 25, 47, 30 and the Powerball number 13. He purchased the ticket at Tooley Oil, which is located at 5520 Dudley Boulevard Building 900 in McClellan, CA (Sacramento County). Tooley Oil will receive a retailer bonus of $300,000 for selling the ticket.”
Despite the big win, the site urges players to play responsibly:
“Lottery games are just that--games. Lottery games are designed to be enjoyable entertainment for adults, and for the vast majority of lottery players, that's exactly what they are. Multi-State Lottery members sell lottery tickets for the benefits of their citizens, raising millions of dollars for worthy causes and projects.
The Multi-State Lottery Association encourages all lottery players to be responsible in their amount of play. Never spend more than you can afford on any lottery product. Please remember, it's just a game.”
