Time for another Judge Joe Brown arrest update. The former reality judge was released from jail, following the publishing of his mugshot and a leaked video that shows Brown beyond drunk. Despite the negative press, it seems that Judge Joe is trying to use the media circus surrounding the event to propel his own political career.
Despite being sentenced to multiple days behind bars, Judge Joe Brown was released from jail. His arrest, according to Epoch Times, caught everyone by surprise:
"His lawyers petitioned for his release on his own recognizance. Brown was let out of jail around 7 p.m. after spending about three hours inside. Brown's lawyer, Taylor Eskridge, says the charges and the sentence were not lawful. She said the outburst was not a planned publicity stunt. 'I don't think he had any way to know that somebody would put him in jail,' Eskridge said. 'This took us all by surprise.'"
This isn't the first time that Judge Joe Brown has made headlines for all of the wrong reasons. After his show was canceled, a video surfaced of Brown noticeably inebriated, drinking "double Bombay."
Huffington Post was among the first to report on the troubling vid, telling readers:
"[Last year] a clip surfaced online featuring the 66-year-old Daytime Emmy nominee in a highly intoxicated state interacting with fans. The clip, which takes place somewhere in California, shows Brown going on a rant in which he slams his former gig by saying: 'I do not do that bulls--t anymore!'"
