Season 7 Bachelorette Ashley Hebert and winner J.P. Rosenbaum are happy to announce Ashley's first pregnancy to the world. The couple had been trying for a while, but didn't get the baby bundle news until they were at Bachelor Sean Lowe and Catherine's televised wedding.
For newly-weds Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum the question wasn't do we want kids, but rather, when can we start having them.
J.P. tells In Touch that he waited only as long as he had to, before he got busy trying to put a baby in that belly:
"We knew the earliest we'd want to start a family was when Ashley finished her [pediatric dentistry] residency at the end of June...So nine months before then was like, green light!"
The couple told the publication that it was fitting that they didn't find out for sure about the pregnancy until attending Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici's wedding January 26:
"That's when we officially found out--of course it would be at Bachelor wedding.
"If you went into [the] bathroom you would have seen like 50 positive tests!"
Ashley told In Touch during their interview, that PJ knows how to keep the baby pressure from getting to her:
"I'm a little bit nervous...Knock on wood, the pregnancy has been pretty much a breeze.
"J.P. is great. He makes me dinner every night and gives me back messages."
One thing is for certain, Ashley isn't going to let the stress of getting fat get to her; Hebert told In Touch that she doesn't care how rotund she gets as long as it isn't permanent:
"I'm just going to embrace it, enjoy it and eat what I want.
"I've always been comfortable with my body, and I trust it's going to go back to its original form. I've been taking care of myself my whole life, and I have a good metabolism, good genetics."
Good genetics or not...Ashley better be careful.
There's just no getting some genies back in their bottles, especially if they've gained 50 pounds.
