Paula Patton and Cheating Robin Thicke Divorce: Singer Happy Wife Split; Writing Best Songs Ever

Canadian Singer Robin Thicke is now known more for his alleged cheating and pending divorce from wife Paula Patton, than he is his terrible voice or his Miley Cyrus prop work. That might be enough to effect the soul of a lesser man, but Robin is happier than he's been in years. He recently admitted that his marital woes were serving as a catalyst for the best song writing he's ever done.

Robin Thicke is a real piece of work, framing his running off of wife Paula Patton and their child as an artistic choice.

The Canadian crooner told People that whether his wife took him back or not, didn't really matter anymore.

Robin is enjoying the kind of artistic creativity that all the money in the world just kind buy (via MTV):

"We're both very happy right now--much happier.

"Everything about this moment in my life--this amazing year I just had and what I'm going through personally-has actually ignited some of the best writing I've done in a long time.

"My music is very honest about what I'm going through and my songs are about my life.

"Whatever everybody's wondering about, they're going to hear it all in the album."

Robin clearly sounds like a man tortured by the selfish decision he made, that destroyed the very fabric of his family's happiness.

It's no wonder Paula is in no hurry to reconcile with the self-obsessed performer, but an insider told TMZ she hasn't made up her mind about whether or not the couple is done for good of not:

"Robin has not been convincing enough for her to bring him back into her life. We're told Paula is saying the same thing she's said since she threw in the towel late last month--that he needs to prove he can be a good husband.

"[But] she still has not met with a divorce lawyer and has made no decision to file legal docs."

Hell, why leave him now? Maybe that next album will be a hit.
