2014 Bachelor Juan Pablo made a fool of himself and season winner Nikki Ferrell, when he refused to talk about their feeling for one another with Chris Harrison following the finale. But after a little pre-marriage marriage counseling, [spoilers] the couple are still together and happier than ever. Even Galavis' family has given the union the approval.
Miami based entertainment consultant, Juan Pablo and his pediatric nurse pick Nikki Ferrell failed to impress America with their taciturn responses to Bachelor host Chris Harrison's questions about their relationship status.
But according to Us Weekly the pair talked to couples' therapists Elizabeth and Jim Carroll of WE's Marriage Boot Camp, and they're doing just fine.
In fact, Elizabeth Carroll thinks that Juan just might have the perfect approach to this whole dating thing:
"A lot of people are saying that he's commitment phobic or he's not ready for commitment, but we were actually seeing a different side of him.
"Not only is he not commitment phobic, he is very serious about commitment that's why he didn't jump into the engagement right away, because it is very serious to him.
"I didn't see any red flags."
That's a good thing for Nikki, who hopes she isn't winning over Juan Pablo's family for nothing.
A source close to the Galavis clan told Us Weekly, that Nikki had already won over Juan's daughter Camila and perhaps even more significantly his ex Carla:
"Juan is spending more time with Camila now that Nikki is around.
"Camila really likes Nikki and tells her that she's pretty...[Even] Carla thinks Nikki is sweet. She loves how she is with Camila."
Despite all earlier predictions friends of the pair told Us Weekly, that Juan and Ferrell seem to have at least as good a chance of making it as anyone else:
"They're in a honeymoon phase. They can't get enough of each other.
"[They] have talked about her moving to Miami...They care deeply about each other.
"They plan on making this a long term thing--not just a fling."
Yeah right...full me one shame on you.
