Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s big secret is out, and boy what a secret it was...n’t. The not-so-hard-to decipher, identity of the blue alien race that saved Coulson’s life, has been revealed. Skye, A.K.A. Chloe Bennett, let the secret slip. Spoiler Warning!
The internet went a buzz when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. revealed that the secret behind Coulson's resurrection was a big blue alien. Theories on what race the alien race was were all over the place.
Executive producer Jeff Bell recently spoke to TV Guide, where he debunked on of the most ridiculous theories:
"It's not a Frost Giant. We had to talk with the Marvel Studio because they've got aliens coming up in some of their movies, so we had to make sure that we fit within that, and we wanted to do it in a limited way. We're not saying there are these people running around on the planet. There's this thing that could've been there for thousands of years that they found."
S.H.I.E.L.D. executive produce, Maurissa Tancharoen chimed in with a few extra hints, adding:
"There are a lot of theories, and with Guardians of the Galaxy coming out, people are steering one way because everything is connected in the Marvel Universe.”
Now, S.H.I.E.L.D. star Chloe Bennett recently spoke to reporters at Paleyfest, where she let slip the big secret. Spoiler Alert: it wasn’t that big of a secret:
“I know that the alien was a Kree…and I know that I was injected with serum made from that and that I am cured and, to normal humans like Coulson, he almost died, but for me, for some reason, nothing happened.”
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, will finally return with new episodes a week after taking a few weeks off. This new run of episodes will be the first time that the show will air new episodes for three weeks in a row all year. Well, more like since November.
Because the best way to build back an audience is by taking a ton of breaks, while slowly revealing a poorly written and easily discernible mystery.
