Simon Cowell has been too busy working on bringing his X Factor musical into the world to worry about getting engaged to Lauren Silverman. In his defense, the surly mogul feels that the experience of being a father of a musical and a baby completely equate. Laruen's ex husband Andrew finally opened up about the affair that tore his life apart. Andrew says, now he's just happy to be able to move on.
Simon Cowell is apparently almost as proud of new born baby Eric, as he is his new West End musical I Can't Sing! a musical spoof based on his X Factor experiences.
Cowell told the Standard that he could, without irony, compare his musical's debut with the birth on his first and only son last month:
"It's like my second baby this year, it feels like that.
"It's exciting, and I never thought I'd be in this spot. I don't know much about the West End or musicals but the very first time I saw the run through I really, really liked the show.
"And now I've seen the Twitter reaction to the previews and the people who've seen it really love it. So I'm thrilled."
Lauren Silverman's ex-cuckold Andrew has recently opened about his feeling as well.
Silverman told Us Weekly that he just wants to move past all the terrible pain and shame, and just focus on his family's future:
"Being in the public spotlight is not something I envy. It's never been my way.
"Privacy has tremendous value. I've tried to be as quiet as possible even though everyone wants to hear about this hoopla."
"It was a very difficult time in my life. I learned a lot, moved forward...My core business has continued to move forward. I learned a lot about myself as an individual, the importance of family. My focus has been on my son throughout the whole ordeal."
"I am a regular person, not a tabloid thing. It was a fascinating experience, unexpected and shocking...I just wanted to refocus on what I do."
And, it was that kind of head in the sand attitude that caused him to lose his old lady in the first place.
