‘Arrow:’ Ra’s al Ghul Rumors and Merlin Return, Stephen Amell Live Tweets ‘Birds of Prey’

Tonight Arrow is all new. In addition to Stephen Amell live tweeting “Birds of Prey,” other members of the cast and crew have been talking about some upcoming villains, including the return of Malcolm Merlin. Rumor has it that Ra’s al Ghul might be making an appearance in Starling City sometime soon.

Arrow executive producer Greg Berlanti recently spoke with Digital Spy, where he teased Maclo Merlin's involvement in the series:

"He's the Dark Archer so he's an integral part of the show. He is the ultimate foe, but you want to use it in a way that it doesn't diminish who The Arrow is, you know? Obviously, we know that he's Thea's dad and there'll be other steps taken there. So we'll definitely be taking that story further this year."

However, there is another big bad looming and his name is Ra’s al Ghul. Berlanti also spoke about the future of the Demon Head:

"I can't promise you that we will pay it off this year. But there is more that will be revealed in the next couple of episodes, directly related to him."

Deathstroke himself, Manu Bennett, spoke with MTV, where he may have spilled the beans on Ra’s al Ghul coming:

"He's not going to be able to beat me up on his own, which means he'll have to call on numbers,When the numbers thing starts happening, the war escalates, and it's all about numbers. We'll see the introduction of the Suicide Squad. And Ra's al Ghul... These guys have all been seen on the periphery. Starling City is about to become a battleground."

Meanwhile, tonight's new episode, titled “Birds of Prey,” shows us what happens when two of Oliver's masked girlfriends meet.

Recently Black Canary actress Caity Lotz spoke to IGN about facing off against The Huntress:

“I think in terms of Oliver, she's not really a jealous girl. She thinks it's kind of funny that Oliver would have this kind of psycho ex-girlfriend. [Laughs] So I think Sara is a little amused by the whole situation, because she also doesn't feel very challenged. She's a strong chick, so she's not really worried about this other girl, you know… until Laurel gets involved. Then, all of a sudden, everything changes. It's a big entrance when they [Canary and Huntress] get together. It's got a nice little bang to it.”

Arrow airs tonight at 8:00 p.m. Stephen Amell will be live tweeting for both coast.
