Real Housewives of Atlanta's NeNe Leakes is nothing like people have suggested insists Dancing with the Stars partner Tony Dovolani. The 40-year-old dancer says NeNe is a "teddy bear," who treats him like solid "gold." Perhaps that is why Wendy Williams has decided to apologize in her own terrible way, for the comments she made about Leakes chances of winning.
Real Housewives of Atlanta's NeNe Leakes is an absolute joy to be around swears her Dancing With the Stars partner Tony Dovolani.
The DWTS vet told People that NeNe is the kind of person who can brighten up an otherwise gloomy day:
"God forbid I'm having one of those tough days, she'll start dancing with me and rubbing on me. I immediate have a smile on my face.
"Everybody's got this perception of NeNe. I've grown to really respect her and adore her. I think she's actually a big teddy bear. She treats me like gold. We really have a good time.
"We hit it off right off the bat... We never stop having fun."
Perhaps all this positive attention has talk show host Wendy Williams rethinking her nasty rant about NeNe's chances of winning.
Williams took a moment to her show to subtle call NeNe fat, before not so subtlety calling her a loser (via Radar Online):
"As I predicted, Tony Dovolani--my former partner--will be NeNe's partner because he always gets the big ones.
"Let's see how this is going to play out. Tony has already won a Mirror Ball Trophy. He's very, very serious about his dancing. He does not play around... but he's not a reason to leap out of bed and run to practice.
"NeNe, I don't know if you're disciplined like that to be dancing every single day.
"He's not fun, NeNe. I wish you well, but you all aren't going to win."
According to Wet Paint, Williams wasn't saying that NeNe alone wouldn't win; Wendy says she was trying to make the larger point that no one would win the televised dance completion:
"[NeNe] did a great job...A lot of websites are saying that, 'Wendy Williams slams NeNe Leakes telling her she won't win...'
"Well, if you're a regular Wendy watcher, I told them all they won't win.
"NeNe's not going to win, but neither is Billy Dee Williams."
Say what now?
Seriously...what in the hell is wrong with Wendy Williams, other than the obvious?
