Tonight there is an all new episode of The Following starring Kevin Bacon and Shawn Ashmore. Ashmore, best known for his role as Iceman Bobby Drake in the X-Men series, can also be seen in the brand new trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past.
The official plot synopsis for tonight's all new episode, titled “Teachers Pet,” reads:
“Joe attains more power over the Korban cult while Ryan and Max try to track him down. Meanwhile, Weston reunites with someone from his past.”
One of the show’s stars Shawn Ashmore, who plays Agent Mike Weston, recently spoke to TV Guide about his character's arc:
"Mike, even from the very first episode, has sort of been in transition. When Weston's dad is killed in front of him is very similar to Ryan losing Claire. It's certainly on that scale...I think it's sort of the final straw that makes these guys even emotionally. If we were keeping tallies of what's happened to these guys, how much they've lost and how much pain they've gone through. Ryan watched Claire being killed right in front of him, and now Weston sees his dad killed right in front of his eyes."
Recently Ashmore spoke to reporters at the Brooklyn Sound Stage about the role:
“Things basically drive Mike to the brink.You can’t imagine worse things happening to anybody...Mike was put through the meat grinder really, emotionally, physically, psychologically, through the first season and continuing into the second. so it’s fun for me to explore and go down the rabbit hole emotionally with Mike.”
