It looks like all of those Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling breakup rumors are false. If the two were split, they certainly seem back together now, following rumors that Ryan was dating Notebook co-star Rachel McAdams.
At a recent appearance, Eva gushed over her boyfriend, who she has refused to speak about in the past few months. Now, however, the Latina bombshell didn't have enough good things to say about her beau's job directing How to Catch a Monster, as Daily Mail reports:
"'[Ryan] really created the most beautiful, collaborative, creative atmosphere on set.' Adding self-consciously: 'I know I'm biased. He's the best,' Eva said, clearly smitten. 'He's the best.'"
Of course, it hasn't all been good news for the couple. For months tabloids have reported that the two were going to split.
In a recent edition of OK! Magazine, a source told the publication that it was Ryan's inability to commit that lead to the romance problems:
"For the past 18 months, they've been talking about taking the next step, to the point that on every vacation, Eva's been convinced he would be popping the question. The trip to Iceland in September was the last straw. She pretty much gave him an ultimatum, but he balked and she stormed out and flew back to the States without him."
Of course, this report was in direct contrast to an earlier article in the same tabloid. Last year, a source told OK! that it was Eva who was ending things:
"Eva said the relationship just ran its course. There wasn't a lot to say. He was everything you're supposed to want in a guy--great on paper--but she felt like something was missing."
Then again, the insider also revealed that it may have something to do with Eva's alleged inability to commit:
"Maybe that's the commitment-phobe in her. Ryan wanted more, and then realized that just wasn't going to happen...The more he wanted to get more serious, the more she pulled back. So, to him, it just wasn't worth investing his heart into the relationship, and he stopped caring."
