Tonight is a good night for the imaginative. You can roll the dice with the gang from NBC’s Community in the return of Dungeons and Dragons, or you can take that trip down the rabbit hole, on ABC’s Once Upon A Tie in Wonderland. Check out previews of tonight's new episodes, to decide which one to DVR and which one to watch live.
Things are not looking good for the Red Queen down in Wonderland. The official plot synopsis for tonight’s new episode of the spin-series, titled, “Heart of the Matter,” reads:
“The Red Queen's in jeopardy and only the Knave can save her, but the cost is high. Meanwhile, Alice and Cyrus learn shocking news about prisoners under Jafar's control; and in a flashback, Anastasia prepares to marry the king and befriends Cora.”
Meanwhile, things are about to get intense on Community when the gang revisit Dungeons and Dragons in the aptly titled, ”Advanced Advanced Dungeons and Dragons.” The official plot for tonight's’ new episode reads:
“Professor Hickey announces that he has just become a grandfather. But since he and his son (David Cross) don't speak to each other, the gang stage a game of Dungeons and Dragons in an attempt to get the two to reconnect.”
The Dungeons and Dragons episode is not the only thing returning this season. Show creator Dan Harmon, was brought back to run the series after been fired the season the prior. Harmon recently spoke with Hitfix, about how he got rehired:
“It was a phone call from Joel McHale, but I didn’t take him seriously. I just thought it was a very loyal, passionate actor calling an old friend to let him know that he was missed after concluding a year of work without him. I thought that Joel works hard and really beats the pavement and politics, but I never dreamed that an actor could accomplish too much more than inspiring a Tumblr blog about him, you know. I didn’t think he had that much sway.”
Check out either Community or Once Upon A Time in Wonderland tonight at 8:00 p.m. on NBC and ABC respectively.
