Warning Spoilers for Arrow Follow! DC comics fans had their minds blown (and so did Shrapnel) during last night's all new episode of Arrow. Not only did the episode knock em dead, but the appearance (more like disembodied voice) of one iconic DC comic character really stole the show. Teen Titans star Tara Strong lent her talents to show, seemingly reprising her role as Harley Quinn from the 'Batman: Arkham' series. Now many fans are wondering if the Suicide Squad will receive a spin-off series.
First things first, lets talk about the episode. Like usual, last night’s Arrow didn’t disappoint in the action or emotional departments. The episode that had been compared to Marvel’s Avengers felt like it was a backdoor pilot for a spin-off series.
However, no matter how good the rest of the show was, the standout moment was a very recognizable voice shouted out from an A.R.G.U.S. cell.
The role described only as, “Deranged Squad Female,” is undoubtedly supposed to be Harley Quinn. Not so sure about that, just ask on of the writers of last night’s episode, Kato Shimizu who tweeted a picture of herself alongside voice actress, Tara Strong:
“Me and the delightful @tarastrong when she came in to do the voice of #HarleyQuinn. #Arrow #SuicideSquad”
So who is Tara Strong? Well besides for voice Harley Quinn in the Batman: Arkham games, City and Origins, she also has a resume longer than Nick Cage’s:
Even if you never heard her name you have definitely heard her voice, as her Twitter description reads?
“you know me as Timmy Turner, or Bubbles? No, Raven lover, Harley? Baby Dil? Twilight? Batgirl?! Just pick one or Miss Collins will give you Big Time Homework”
