Last year country music star Jason Aldean and his wife separated after he revealed that he cheated on her with former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr back in 2012.. Now that his soon to be ex-wife has filed for divorce, the "Night Train" singer and his new girlfriend have come out publicly with their relationship.
Ah country music! Nothing else screams good old fashioned, God fearing family values like drunken boat rides and rampant adultery. Back in 2012, it was revealed that Jason Aldean was cheating on his wife with former American Idol hopeful, Brittany Kerr.
After acting inappropriately with Kerr at a bar, Aldean addressed the issue with his fans via Facebook, writing:
"Hey Guys--I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip websites. The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story.”
However, the story didn’t end there. In 2013, Aldean and his wife separated and she filed for divorce. Aldean opened up on the separation last November on Good Morning America:
"It's one of those things where, you know, you go out and you're just hanging out. You know, obviously there were things going on in my marriage at the time where it just wasn't really happy. You go out and you kind of let your guard down a little bit and things happen, and unfortunately ... it's tough."
Recently, photographers caught photos of Jason Aldean and Kerr making out. Now a rep for the actor has reportedly confirmed that the par are in a relationship.
